Edge II Covermaster
I found out why the price of my flat lid went up from $649 to $799..... The dealer switched from the Snuglid to a "Edge II Covermaster." Has anyone heard of these or know of a website?
Found it.... here's the link:

It looks like a pretty decent lid. I like the ability to lock it with your car keys.
Once again... does anyone have any of these?

Looks like a viable option but not if you live on the west coast. Nearest dealer is at least 2 states away!

Grumps, I've looked at a number of lids, in person and online. I've seen the Covermaster on a Screw because I have a dealer closeby and I saw a Screw that was installed by them. What I did not like about the Covermaster was the hinge system. You must unbolt the four clamps and lift the whole thing off, including the frame. I also did not prefer the lock mechanism because it was not flush with the tonneau. It is an automotive-style lock yes, but it has its own keys. You don't use your keys, unless you change out the lock.
I chose a Jason Dimension http://www.jasoncaps.com/tonneaus.htm
It has 4 wingnuts to remove it from the frame. The frame stays in place so you don't have to realign the cover when you put it back on. I like the single flush mounted lock it has. The lock is like one you find on a soda machine. Put the key in, turn, and the lid floats open. To close AND lock, just push it down. It closes and locks without the key, like a trunk.
That's my opinion. Lots of them around here. People like the ARE, Snuglid, ********, and Astro, and others. I'm really happy with the Jason. More pics of the lid in my signature link, if you want to see it closer.

Hey Go 4D It,
You weren't up in Hanover this weekend were you? Saw a truck just like your's on Atlee Road. With lid, same wheels, black. Haven't seen many other black one's around here. Great looking truck, but bet you are fighting the pollen now like I am.

cpafay,
Nope. It was parked at the Airport all week, unless someone's been joyriding. I don't get to Hanover often, unless I'm driving through on 95.
I guess I don't have the only black one around. I've seen white, silver, deep wedgewood blue, and bright red on the road, but no black. The other day I parked next to a bright red Gen III 4x4 in the Food Lion lot. Cool sight. Never saw the owner.
I hope the pollen business is close to being over. It looks like yellow overspray. Last night's big rain helped wash some of it off. I was out in it last night. Usually the truck is under the carport at home or a parking garage downtown. But the pollen still finds it.
