Question Window Rain Guard Question

Just received my rain guards (Ford). My question is, do these things really get stuck
to the paint? I thought they would get glue stripped to the rubber molding around the window, not the actual door paint.
This is the only way they will fit.
I just wanted some opinions from current users and to get the right idea.
Thanks

Yes. They really do.

Don't worry. They won't damage your paint. And if you should ever have to remove them, you don't have to worry about chipping the paint. The tape should be OEM approved and be the same that is used across the industry for holding everything from Body Side Moldings, to nameplates, to weatherstrip to the body.

A company called WeatherTech makes rain guards that fit in the window channel. They slide in under the rubber. NO TAPE!!!
Mine should be in sometime this week!

Don't waste your money on the Ford or vent-visor shields.

WeatherTech is the way to go!

They are easy to install and they look great. They look like they are made on the truck and are not a sticky add-on.

I had vent visor's laying in my basement for 3 month's waiting for warm weather to put them on.A fellow screw dude recommended the weather tec visor's so I took the vent visor's back & bought the weather tec's & they are great! They look like part of the truck not an add on.
Over here I paid the same price for each.
$49.95 for the set of 4.

Thanks for all the input everyone. I decided that I am going to scrap these Ford visors and go with the WeatherTechs. I tried JC Whitney online but none listed for 00-01 F150s or SC. Ordered hard copy catalog to see if they're listed there.
Anywhere else to buy the WeatherTechs?
Esecially those $49.95 ones.

I ordered mine from Styling Concepts ( www.stylingconcepts.com ). I'm pretty sure I've seen them at JC Whitney. They can also be ordered from www.weathertech.com.
