Question Speed Dependent? Radio volume control & Interval wipers

Fordvehicles.com shows these to be standard on the SCrew. What about Gen 1,2 and 3's - are they all suppose to have them or only Gen 3's? Who has them and what Gen? Please answer only if you do have them. Thanks.

Question

Are the wipers and radio automatically "speed dependent" or is there something we have to set up to activate these features?

With your radio turned on, push and hold the volume ****. You will see something on the display like 'volume 0' if you have never adjusted it.

Then use the up and down buttons for bass and treble etc to adjust, min is 0, and max is 7. I have mine set at 3. I found that at higher levels, I could really notice the compensation, at 3 it's juuuuuuuust right.

Mine (G3) came with the auto volume turned off so I found how to adjust it in the manual. No problem. I also have mine at 3. Seems to be the right increase.

Thumbs up

My Gen I has speed-sensitive volume. I had my wife set it for me! It's a nice feature once it's set to your liking. I find that it's more dramatic with a CD playing instead of the radio, but it works with both.

The wipers are but not the radio. I think it comes from the factory set midway. I don't have the manual in front of me but you can adjust the amount of compensation.
