I have always thought the sawblade wheels were some of the best Ford has ever put out. The only reason I went aftermarket was the limited selection of off-road tires in the 17" flavor.
Although the photoshop cut-in should be applauded I don't know if it does justice to the new wheels.
I think it boils down to what you think! I know how you feel though... I have returned more than my share of mods because I just "didn't know." I guess if you don't think - yea, those look cool - you may want to keep looking until you do.
I know, not much help eh! Sorry.

My .02,
I would like the new ones best with white dust guards instead of chrome, so the wheels would stand out more, and turn the tires so the blackwalls are out.
I couldn't find dust shields to fit my wheels and I can see the nice
Ford rust through them, so I'm in the process of applying rust converter, then painting all the metal areas around the brakes black. The rear two are done and look better.
You've done a really nice job on your truck. Yours was one of the first customized I saw while waiting for delivery of mine.

Wow, tough choice and great looking truck. I have the saw blade wheels on my white SCrew and love them. As for the new one in your pic, they look pretty good too. I would have to vote for the old ones in this case.

Pimp wheels. I like the old ones better. How about these ones?
I saw them here. http://www.afswheels.com/suv_trucks/index.asp
I saw some aftermerket rims on a Dodge the other day that looked good, but it's hard to read the mfg. name when it's rolling at 30mph. They looked like sort of knuckles, in a 5 star pattern. I guess they were sort of like your new ones, but the "knuckled" ribs were fatter and thicker. To me skinny thin wheels don't work on a big heavy looking "I mean business" truck. You know what I mean?

I purchased a pair of the Lightning look-alike wheels from www.afswheels.com and they were great!!! Not to mention I paid the same for wheels and tires from them as I would have just wheels from the dealer.

Stick with the sawblades. You've got a big, beefy, bulldog, sweet looking truck. You need beefy cool, mean wheels IMHO. Your stars, while good looking to be sure, look a little ricey on that bad boy.
I think some aftermarket whels will realy set off your truck but have to agree with Sundog7, those new ones look like they belong on a Honda. Go for something more agressive. Check out the American Torque Thrusts for pickups. Its a 6 spoke and looks pretty retro yet modern.
the old ones look like they belong on a truck... did the new ones come with a gift certificate to taco bell ?
