Question Anyone runnin Flowmasters out the rear?

Who has 40 series flowmasters? Whose runnin them out the back? Is it loud in the cab at 70mph? Do you wish you would have gotten the 50-70 series instead. I want a pretty low growl but don't want alot of noise in the cab when cruisin. Please Help!!

I have a single inlet/dual outlet, 2 chamber Flowmaster 40 series with the exhaust run out the back (not true duals). It has good rumble on idle and during acceleration. You can hear it at cruise speed if you pay attention but it is not loud or annoying. The radio at normal volume covers it. Personally I'd have liked a little more sound. With the stock muffler and the radio on sometimes I wasn't sure if the motor was running or not.

Thanks screwin around, i really appreciate your input. So it's not real loud in the cab at 70, huh? Good, i don't like alot of racquet in the cab especially when your trying to carry a conversation.

I have the 40 delta series muffler (replaced stock) and it is not loud at all. Has a nice grumble when starting and then idle is barely noticable. Not loud in cab at 70mph either.

Cool

I just put on the FM 50's with duals out the back, today. I think at this time that I would have done a delta 40 if I knew then what I hear now. sounds good at idle and accelerating but, to quiet at driving speed. But, I was being cautious as my mother sits in the rear left seat. lol

I too have the Flowmaster 50 Delta Flow SI DO with chrome tips out the back. I would agree, not very agressive. Had I been able to listen to the 40 before I made my decision I would have gone with it.

I'm not sure if it is the 50 or the Delta Flow but there is no droan at any speed. I like that. I had a two-chamber - can't remember the brand - that had a pretty loud droan at 45 mph.
