Any pics of Screws with toppers?
Can't picture if Screw looks better with or without a topper. If anyone has one, please post a picture.
Thanks.

If you do a search or just look back through some old posts about a month or so ago I posted and got some good pics.
I just got my ARE Z series cap on my supercrew and it looks great. I am glad I chose this cap it lends itself very well to the supercrew and has already come in handy.
I really like the ARE fit and finnish.
Check out some back posts and you should be able to find what you are looking for.

PS. Have you been looking at tops and if so what brands. I had heard some bad stories about the leer for the supercrew and that is one reason I decided to go with the ARE.

Wickman - VERY nice truck, like the the color combo.
ARE seems to be the top of the line choice. However, I have previously owned a Raven, as have many friends, and these are very good toppers for less than $1000. I haven't priced recently, but I bet the ARE is $1300-1500?
Anyways, thanks for the pics...definitely looks good with a topper.

One thing you must realize prior to placing a cap on your pickup is the reduced visability out the back and from the sides. I put a cap on the back of my Ranger so band equipment wouldn't get wet and for the added security over a tonneau cover. I regretted it almost immediately, but got used to driving with it. For my S'Crew on order, I'm getting a flat, hard lid.... hopefully one that comes off without too much of a hassle. The S'Crew bed is deeper than the Ranger bed, so band equipment shouldn't be a problem; I'll also have the back seat for added storage.
I too figure if you're going to get a cap put on an S'Crew, especially for looks, you might as well get an Expedition... but the dog explanation does make sense. My advice though.... is to get in the driver's seat of one with a cap and know what you're getting into regarding obstructed visability.

Yeah, the dog thing is a good point, and the visibility thing is a biggie too. I had a 92...ugh, Chevy...long bed reg cab with a "cab-high, no window" cap on it. It looked good, but couldn't see a damn thing. I realize the bed is 2x as long, but same idea.

Well, I like the look of the SUV but I grew up with pickup truck all my life.
Pls answer with "SUV" or "S'crew":
1) Which one will haul bushels of oysters? S'Crew!
2) Which one will haul firewoods? S'crew!
3) Which one will haul trophy bucks? S'crew!
4) Which one will haul all those wet towels, bathing suits, coolers covered with sand? S'crew!
5) Which one will haul manure for garden and stuff? S'crew!
6) Which one will haul mountain bike covered with mud? S'crew!
and the list goes on..

Agree with seamark. You really can't compare the SCrew to a Expy. I used mine this weekend for camping and boating and loved being able to lock things up and not have to smell the wet towels, dirty laundry, BBQ stuff etc. all the way home.

Actually an excursion would be the closest thing to a Screw w/ a cap. And how many people would rather have an excursion over thier screws? Those are some good pics guys.

Those look great, but I have one question.
Don't flame me for this or anything, but why buy a SuperCrew and put a topper on it? Why not just buy an Expy? Maybe a little shorter, but looks the same. I like the Pickup look, not the SUV, but to each his own.
Nice trucks though.

Well I understand what you are saying, but there are lots of reasons.
I like the utility of a pickup bed and being able to take the hose and wash it out, but I also like being able to lock things up in the back of my truck.
I have 3 dogs and also like to take them with me places and I will not let them ride in an open pickup bed.
Also some wet dogs can really stink up the inside of a car or suv and this way I can put them in the back and air it out later and it is not in my upholstery. I really like the look of my truck with the ARE cap on and it is very useful. I do not haul a lot of stuff, but I do like the bed when I need it.
My two cents
Paul
