Does anyone know if electric "shift on the fly" comes standard with the 2001 lariat 4x4 supercrew? The dealer today told me it is standard, but Ford's brochure says it is an option. I also thought it was optional for about $140.00.

 

I just got my Lariat. It is standard - it used to be an option.

When was "shift on the fly" ever an option? Anyone out there with a 4x4 SuperCrew that doesn't have it?

I have a Gen I XLT Screw, and since that time all SCrews have come standard with Auto Trans and E-shift-on the-Fly...atleast that's what the spec's say.....

I read a March, 2000 article on the Supercrew (which means they tested the truck several months earlier) and the 4x4's came standard out of the box with electronic shift-on-the-fly...so there's yer answer
