I think the cost is different at different crossings. FOr crossing just for a day or so it's less than 6 bucks but I think you have to apply for a visitor's permit and that costs more plus you have to put a sticker on your windshield. But that may have changed or be different at different ports of entry... This web site might help, I would call one of those numbers to check on stuff though.

I am travling to mexico tonight. I could really use some advise. I leaving from Houston, Texas. I am waiting on a go from Ford Service Center. My question is does any one know how much is taxes when takeing a truck across the border.

 

The last and only time I was in Mexico, I parked my truck on the Texas side of the border in Del Rio and took a taxi cab across the Rio Grande. It was just a quick day trip, "tourista" kind of thing. "Be careful" seems very inadequate for what you are doing, but uhhhh, BE CAREFUL!
