Angry Larry K F - any update on thump

Larry K F - have you had your thumping fixed?

Anybody else have a thumping from their rearend? To summarize - my Screw is thumping when decelerating from about 30 mph. Happens when coasting or lightly applying the brakes. Dealer says no TSB's, etc describing the problem. Thumping is normal???

Unhappy

Yes. I believe I have the same problem. I had it at the dealer a while back for the pulsating thumping noise, and they said it was sand and mud and stuff. Probably from the sanding of the roads by the snow plows. Well, the snow is gone, and it's still thumping. At first I thought it was in the front, but when I leaned my head back, I could tell it was from the rear. And now within the last week or so, I feel that my brakes a pulsating a bit. Too much for a vehicle with only 7700 miles on it. I will be getting in to the dealer in a couple of weeks (after vacation). I will be bringing this up, as well as the radiator and any other issues that I can think of.

I guess I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem. Sorry.

Unhappy Rear Thumping

I finally found this thread from quite a while ago. Update. After a year now, the thumping as I described before is still there. I had my truck at the dealer last week, and I very firmly told them that all these previous tries to fix it has been nice, but now it's time to sh-- or get of the pot. So now after 2 tech driving for quite a while, they have decided to rplace the whole rear axel assembly. This better fix it. It will probably be a few weeks until it's done. I'm hoping this is it.
