Question Plan/Pricing

Just ordered SuperCrew 4x2 XLT with the 4.6.
The add-ons are captain's chairs,3.55 L/S, cab steps and Class III towing. MSRP is $28,595.00 and invoice is $25,434.00. Both numbers include delivery and advertising charges. Can anyone tell me the difference between A, Z and X plans? And what the different prices would be?

Tman as far as I know the A-Plan is what the dealer actually pays for the truck. The X-Plan is a special program that employees of certain companies, members of certain churchs and other organizations can sign up for to get discounts from Ford - 4% above A-Plan. I got mine on the X-plan through my job. I got it for about $175 below invoice. Plus I got the $500 rebate. I am not sure what the Z plan is though.

I bought mine using the X plan also, it was about $300 under invoice. If you times the MSRP by .875, this will give you a real close amount for the X plan price.
My MSRP was $35,250 and I paid $30,8xx something. Cant remember the exact figure. Invoise was $31,143. Also, you pay no doc fee or processing fee. HEHE, they tried to charged me the $298 but it didnt happen!! I went with the 5.9% finacing instead of the rebate.

You will love this truck!!

I'm pretty sure the A Plan is reserved for FoMoCo families (i.e., employees, presesnt and retired, and their direct family members). Grandpa gets his trucks through A Plan; retired at Ford. Like LouScrew said, you pay what the dealer paid. Dealers don't like it much-no profit for them.

I got mine through A-plan also. My Brother in law works for an affiliate of Ford. The guy I worked with at the Dealership was well versed in doing A-plan orders. He had been with Ford for over 20 years. It's true the Dealership doesn't really make anything on it. I think they may make a little, not much. It may have to do with if they are a Blue Oval dealership or not. The thing that amazes me is that I have still not received a survey yet. I've had my truck for over 5 months. I would almost bet it has something to do with either it being an A-plan purchase or with the dealership. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to send in my own opinion to Ford Customer Service.

I bought my Screw on the A plan. My dad retired from Ford (Lima engine plant). He always said the dealer gets 3% over cost.. I don't know if "cost" and "invoice" are the same thing, but I know the sticker price on mine was over $29,000, over $30K with the ADM (they told me it stands for admin. fees, I think it stands for Additional Dealer Mark-up LOL) and we were nowhere near there... I paid $26,612.28. The invoice they gave me was over $27,500.

I work for Enterprise and I bought my Screw on the A plan. I was able to get mine for 28,400, MSRP was around 34,900. Not a bad deal if you can get it.
I went thru my Fleet department and ordered it directly. Awesome truck!!

Question

I will be buying a Supercrew in a few months. How do I get on the X-plan? Is there a list somewhere?

Thanks!

The way the A plan was explained to me was this is for FOMOCO employees & their direct relatives (my wife's sister works for the truck plant in MO). You get the vehicle for less then invoice & ford gives the dealer $1500.

On my screw, the MSRP was $32,500 and the a-plan was $27,100 and the invoice was 28,something. With taxes & the extended warantee I still paid less then the MSRP.

Not too bad :-)~ (although ford won't give me the blankie because of this, or so they say through owners connection).

WE ARE OFFERED THE X PLAN WHERE I WORK. TWO COWORKERS WITHIN THE PAST 4 MONTHS HAVE PURCHASED THREE TRUCKS BETWEEN THEM. ONE WAS A SUPERCREW AND THE OTHER TWO WERE F150 4X4'S. ALL WERE LOADED, AND THEY PAID $$5500 LESS THAN MSRP ON THE 4X4'S AND 5800 LESS ON THE SCREW. WITH NO TRADE IN.
BUT TO BE HONEST WHEN I BOUGHT MY 99F150 XLT 5.4/AUTO THE MSRP WAS 25,700 AND I PAID 20,700 WITH NO PLAN. ITS YOUR MONEY UNTIL THEY GET IT. FIGURE OUT A PRICE AND STICK TO IT.
I WILL BE LOOKING FOR A NEW TRUCK SOON AND WILL LET YOU ALL KNOW THE PRICE I GET.

The X-Plan pricing is available to anyone who is willing to invest $40. Picked this off the Lightning board 2 days ago:
Anyone willing to spend $40. can get X-Plan.
Go to EAA.org (Experimental Aircraft Association). Give them your credit card # for $40 in annual dues. The next day they e-mail you back a membership number. With that number you go into Membership site, click on Ford's Partner Program, give them your SS#, name address, etc. 60 seconds later are given a "Pin #" and from that moment forward you qualify for X-Plan. Simple and painless. X-Plan is a set, predetermined price that the dealer cannot vary from, though not every dealer will honor it, but most will. I tried it and got my membership and pin today. There's a screw in my immediate future. Have fun.
