I agree with whitengray. It kind-of annoys me that it won't downshift to accellerate sooner on the highway. Once it does it DOES. I guess I'll just hafta keep it off the road. GO TERPS!

The service writer said they adjusted the door striker. You can probably do it yourself. I believe it takes a t-4? screwdriver or drillbit. I had some major wind noise with my 97 f150 pass. door and that took them awhile to get right...probably because of the 3rd door on the extended cab. For that reason I was hesitant about getting the Supercrew door fixed, fearing wind noise...lol. The door is much easier to open now. Good luck.

I've got the thunk, developed at around 400 miles, now at 1100. A little annoying, not fatal, but in a nearly $40k vehicle I expect better! Love the truck, but concerned. If it gets worse, it will be a real problem.

I know I'm no expert yet but driving in both stop light traffic to doin 80-85 on the interstate I have noticed absolutley no problems (slippage, clunking, thunking, hard shifts) with the transmission. Hope I never do. I love this truck so much I even got out of bed this morning, shovelled 8" of snow, just to drive my wife 2 miles to work. Her car was already cleaned off and warmed up.

Cool

Well, Now I'm a little more of an expert than I was three weeks ago. I've had this truck 27 days and have over 2700 miles on it. That says I know my truck. And I've come to the conclusion that this is not the vehicle to own if your driving in stop and go traffic on an expressway in the middle of a busy city (ie.Boston). Thankfully I don't. My use is 30 miles each way to and from work on an eight lane Interstate highway @ 80 to 90 M.P.H. five days a week. Any time I do spend in the city is just getting to the highway and back. I have noticed the condition I've read so often about at low speeds. I don't know if you realize this but, all it is is the transmission downshifting and I can understand that it seems rather abrupt when it does but, If when your idleing along behind someone in traffic, and the flow starts to pick up, just feather into the pedal and it won't feel as bad. Not to mention it won't "clunk" as you say. This is not to say that there might not be something wrong with your particular vehicle, but it could have more to do with driving habits-situations than it does with faulty equiptment. Happy Motoring
