Thanks CCLA! I frequently look at that site as well as one closer to home(sadiscoeast). This truck is basicly damaged just right for me. I'm still looking for something a little closer.

Unhappy Looking for damaged Screw

Has anyone out there recently wrecked their Screw. I know that's a bad question to ask, but that's how I've purchased my best trucks. Hopefully, someone else in N.C. is reading this message. I'wd prefer a N.C. or southern Va. truck. Thanks for any help.

Regarding the grille. Mine had the same grille. I was not made aware of the appearance package on the 2x4 XLT or I would have ordered it. I have since put a Stull Billet grille in to replace it.

2WD XLT's have the chrome grill assy, with the gray grill. There is an appearance package that can be ordered for the XLT that is a painted grill and honeycomb grill. The 2wd Lariet and all 4wd's have the painted/honeycomb grill.

F150rebuilder,
There was a 4wd on ebay week before last that was wrecked. It had been hit right in the doors on the passenger side. Didn't look very hard to fix. It brought 18,000, which I didn't think was too bad if you can fix it yourself. I can't remember the email of the person that bought it. It was Tan, with running boards, and the aluminum wheels that I like.

Thanks RickC! That was a decent price for a 4x4 Screw. Our shop has just finished a 2000 F150 ext. cab XLT that has the same bumper/grille combo as the wrecked Screw in the picture and it is every bit as nice as my 99 ext. cab XLT, but mine has a painted grille and bumper pad. Perhaps it is the dealerships preference of options or the person ordering that wants what I consider a cheaper looking front end. Perhaps there is a price difference, although our crash manuals show little difference in replacement cost.

Yes, I have found a dealer here locally that orders that appearance package on all the XLT's he gets in. Looking on his lot was the first I had seen it. I explained it to another dealer, and that dealer didn't know about it. He said that he would look at the order codes and find it for me though. The problem I had with the first dealer, is although he orders them with the appearance package, he also orders them with the 4.6 engine. I would not want the 4.6 and I don't really want to order a truck. Anyway, I think the painted grill, with the honeycomb grill looks much better. There is no additional cost when ordering it that way.
