Question Does Bright Red paint fade

I recently completed a test drive of a 2001 Supercrew. I had never really driven a truck before and I currently own a Toyota Corolla
The Screw is awesome! I have seen the light and the light says BUY FORD! My question is does anyone who owns a bright red screw have problems with fading? Some people have told me not to get red as the sun will fade the paint job. Is this really true these days? This is my first post so I hope someone can help me.

Cool

Hi Screw4me,

I took delivery of my bright red Supercrew last June, so it's coming up on being one year old. My truck is garaged, but sits out in the California sun all day long at work. The paint looks good as new so far. Automotive paint technology has come a long way and I sincerely doubt that fade is significantly more of a problem with Red than any other color. And Ford's red happens to be a VERY NICE red.I don't think you'll be disappointed if you go this way. Good luck!

I heard all the same warnings when I bought my red supercab back in 1994. I only waxed it twice a year and always parked it outside in the sun. When I sold it last year it still looked almost as good as the day I bought it. The only reason I didn't buy red this time was because I thought I needed a change.
