Cool High Mileage Club

Since the first of the year, I've been flying more and driving less for my job, which has slowed down the rate of mileage being put on my SCrew. However, in a time frame of one week short of six months, I accumulated 20,000 miles on the truck. Yup, I purchased my Gen II XLT on 10/04, and today (3/30) turned over 20,000 miles.
Anybody else put those kind of miles on? I remember a post back around Christmas that some folks were up to 5 or 8k, but let's try an update....

Cool

OnBelay ... I'm still on the other end of the scale. 9+ mos. and the odometer says 6110 miles. I think only one50npump will have lower miles than that!

Gee whiz, anteater, get that thing outta the garage!!!
If you need some help getting miles on, let's swap trucks for a couple weeks!
I'm going to be in Columbus Monday through Wednesday; any 4X4 shops or other sites worths seeing while I'm there?

Mange, how long did it take you to get to 27k?

Bought mine in September 2000, now up to 17000 miles. Baby is still purring like a cat. Lots of highway miles with some light hauling. The 5.4 V-8 is perfect for highway miles, sitting up high I turn less than 2000 rpms at 72 mph, nice and quiet to enjoy the road and the stereo.

I change the oil (Mobil 1) and rotate and balance the tires at 5000 miles, so far so good. What a great road vehicle!

At the rate I'm going I do over 30,000 miles a year.

Question

MangeMD
Great looking truck. Noticed you had 305's on and didn't mention any type of body or suspension lift. Did they fit without any adjustments? Any rubbing to speak of? Any other pic's, like from the front or rear? Thanks!!

Thanks!

No lift. No rub. Fit perfectly on the 16x8 wheels. If the weather is nice (and if I can remember) I will snap a pic of the front/back for you.
