Here in Santa Babs, the going rate for 87-octane regular unleaded is around $1.89.

$1.51 for 87 octane here in Montgomery County, MD, just outside of Wash., D.C.

I think it might be worth it to take a drive to Mosa's neighborhood and fill up. 23 cents cheaper per gallon time 22 gallons would save me $5.00 per tank. However, I would burn up about $4.00 getting there and back.

$1.39 here in DeBary Fl (between Orlando and Daytona) Hey Scooby, I got some of that $1.12 go-go juice in Georgia on my way to the Carolinas last weekend! Must be nice to have access to those good gas prices! Especially driving a 5.4 SCrew LOL

1.59 to 1.79 for 87 here in Oregon...that great state where we "get" to pay people to pump our gas (like it or not)!

Ever seen a native Oregonian drive up to a gas pump in another state for the first time? It's quite the site!

Here in England (UK)
Was $5.50 per gall when I placed my order
now $5.10 per gall.

Looks like yours is going up - ours is coming down.
Still a long way to go though.

Usually, pricesaround town range from 1.27-1.33 for 87 octane. There are a couple of places, Kroger and a new HEB Market place, that has opened and are selling gas for 0.99 to 1.05 for 87 octane. Not too bad!

We're paying $1.999 for 87 octane and $2.199 for premium. Just up the road in Mammoth add another dime. Wish we had the collusion that LakeSands speaks of. Our prices go up but stay up after the weekend.

Some trivial nostalgia ---

In the early 60's I worked at the Supernal Oil truck stop on US Rt. 75 in Union, Nebraska. The pump price for regular gas was 21.9 cents. All cars got a 2 cent/gal discount (19.9 cents)and trucks (pickups included) got 3 cents (18.9 cents). We pumped the gas, washed the windshield, and asked if they wanted the oil checked (even if they only bought $1 worth of gas!!). Diesel fuel was 17.9 cents/gal. I was making $1.25/hr.

During one "gas war" the price at a station in Omaha went down to 1 cent above the state and federal tax (12 cents?).

Regular at local discount gas station here in NH is $1.41.
