Unhappy It only took a week

It only took me week to F' something up on my new SCrew. I backed into a snow bank (more like an ice bank) and bent the heck out of my wiring harness. It now points due south and is cracked near the brake connection part of it.

It may have been wishfull thinking but I was hoping to keep my $30,000 truck new for awhile.

Joe

I did something similar not long after getting the truck.

I was having a hard time getting used to the length of it when backing up (first full size truck for me). I backed into a stall in my work's parking garage and bumped a pipe on the back wall. It put a little dimple in the bumper. After saying a few choice words, everything was OK. (Not really, it still gets me every time I look at it.)

I wish Ford had put that plastic cover over the hitch ball/step like they do on the other F150s, then I don't think I would have my "dimple of shame".

By the way, can anyone think of a way to get this "dimple" out. I looked at hammering it from the back, but there is a bumper structure brace welded right where the dent is. Any suggestions?

I bought my SCREW with 3500 miles on it, and it had the same thing... a small dimple in the rear bumper where someone had backed into something. I am with you on the black cover.. I would rather have it than the all chrome bumper..

1 hour after I had the bed lid put on I learned that I can't open the garage door with the lid open. The connecting bar for the garage door opener put a 1/8" deep 3" long gash in the lid.
