I am not sure, however I was looking at a mag recently and I know it is not a 9 (which you could not get a diff cover for anyway) and it is definetly not an 8.8. I believe it looks like an 11 1/4 rear, however the mag said it was only in the 3/4 and 1 tons up to 2000. The mag could be wrong and it wouldn't be the first time. I would check with your local ford dealer parts dept and they can probably tell you what is in the truck.

Also I am not sure if the limited slip rears are different than the open diffs.

good luck.

heres a tip when putting on the chrome cover
when installing it
rough up the inside of the cover so that the gasket seals around the cover chrome doesnt seal real good and causes leaks where the gasket forms on the cover

Called the dealer and spoke to the service manager. It is a 8.8" rear end which some refer to it as a 9" rear end. Anyone find a chrome cover let me know...also looking
