Hello fellow LI'er...I spend alot of time in Huntington Station...There are several differences including:Signal Mirrors, 17" Wheels, and some other stuff....Check out Edmunds and you can list the two vehicles to compare...Or go build one on the Ford web site to compare.....Good luck getting your new Screw !

A few key options that you can't get on the XLT is the leather seats, automatic rearview mirror, turn signal mirrors, drivers side keypad entry, autolamp headlights..other items that are standard on the Lariat are optional on XLT....

I would have gone with the Larait, but after
talking to several dealers it looked like we couldn't get the Island Blue in a Larait.
If you go to ford.com ~ enter Lariat it shows
Island Blue as not available in Lariat.
Don't understand that ~~ ow well,
totally satisfied with my 2001 XLT.

Cannot get Island Blue in a Lariat- Your Right, In that aspect, Ford truly has their head up their butt. I tried the same thing, I wanted Island blue/Beige in a Lariat, the dealer said, can't get it. I couldn't believe it. OK give me a White Lariat with Wedgewood Blue two-tone, NOPE can't do, XLT only. Ok give me white with gold, can't do
AZ beige only. OK SCrew Frod, I'll do my own accent colors! As you can see below, no wusse beige for me, out of my way b*&%h !

I bet you get noticed in that SCrew.
When I was looking for the Island Blue
the first dealer I went to told me that you can't get the SCrew in that color.
I told him I had built one on ford.com.
Then he tried to talk me into a different
color ~~~ several dealers trying to make a sale asked me if what other color was an option.
I said "Island Blue/Silver or Nothing".
I'm glad I held out for that color ~~ I like
it. If they still had the Amazon Green I may have gone with that, can't believe they
discontinued that color.
