What a Ride
It's only been 4 days since taking delivery and I've already put over 500 miles on my truck. This thing is Great. The KRE is something else. Wife and kids love it, especially the leather buckets. Almost got pulled over on the highway the other day, it's so easy to be doing 85-90 without even feeling it. Lucky I saw the unmarked cruiser and instictivley slowed to 70. He followed for about 4 miles untill the last exit before the state line. Wife said he was checking out the truck as he was going up the exit ramp. Takes frost heaved roads great (ie. 11-A into Gunstock). So far no tranny problems. I did shut off the auto. door locks, they were driving me nuts. Thinking of ext. warranty, 6yr 100,000 miles for $1,079. I do 20k ayear. comes w/ oil change every 3k and free rental on any overnight warranty work. Any thoughts? Thanks, Scott

Living near Memphis and driving to the airport (not a good section of town) three or four times a month .... I LOVE the auto door locks ... suppose it just depends on your driving environment ... enjoy !!!!

It's kinda like I'm floating on a cloud!! This thing is so much smoother than my 98 SC I had. I also know what you mean about speeding, it doesnt fell like you are going that fast. It will be a week tomorrow and I almost have 500 miles on her. I want to have a 1000 but the end of the month. Going camping and will be pulling my 26ft TT.
ENJOY!

After going from a Ranger to a Dodge QC, I thought the QC was an awesome ride. Now that I have my new SCrew, the ride is amazingly smoother. I never knew how smooth a 4x4 pick up could ride so well. I too love the auto door lock as FedExPilot mentioned.

I too would like the auto locks if I drove from point A to B and parked for the day, but I'm in and out of my truck 5-7 times a day and nothing gets more agravating than getting out and goto grab something from the back seat and the G&^$%D-Damn door is locked!! Do that a few days in a row and you'd disable them to. Other than that This Truck Is Awesome!!!

Hey, Screwking, what type of extended warranty are you looking at. The price for the Ford ESP plan I was quoted was quite a bit higher than that for the 5/75 plan. Just curious as to what you were looking at.

My salesman gave me four different levels of coverage to choose from. He told me he makes $40 no matter which I chose. Power train, Base, Extra, and Premium. On 6/100,000 the prices he quoted were $1,425.00 for Premium, $1,070.00 for Extra, $910.00 for Base, and said if I wanted the Power Train he would give the $40 to another salesman. This guy sells more Ford trucks than anyone in N.E. and more Ford ext. warranty than anyone in the country. Wasn't trying to "sell" me anything. Just gave me my options, told me prices, and sent me on my way. I like that. There is definetly enough difference between the Base and Extra to warrant the extra $160.00, but the difference between the Extra and the Premium didn't warrant the $355.00 difference. All came w/ oil changes every 3k which would be 33 oil changes @ $20.00 a piece, $660.00. Also a free rental for any overnight warranty work. They have a Hertz Rental shop on site. All in all if you deduct the cost of the oil changes from the $1,070.00 Extra warranty it's only costing $400.00 for 3/64,000 extra in warranty. Seems almost logical. Scary!!
