Question Got one used, how do I find out what options it has?

Picked up my new baby today, maybe the first used Screw sale. Is there a way, like maybe the Ford site, to put in the VIN and see what options were ordered from the factory?

Have a dealer run the vin through their computer. That should do it along with giving any recalls and service issue history.

I called the dealership and gave the VIN and they faxed me a copy of the original purchase order/window sticker. My truck happened to have a business card from the dealer it was leased out of before I bought it.

Come on now one50npump, give dspit a break.

When you bought your SCrew, as did everyone else who did, I am sure it was love at first sight and you were hypnotized by it to lay out the cash first and ask questions later. Ford designed "buy me unconditionally" subliminal messages in to the vehicle and we just can not help ourselves. Now is this not true or what?

(actually I knew more about the truck than the salesman did... and researched the hell out of it for 6 months... but I could tell the whole time I was going to buy one come hell or high water.)

NO S*$T.

I could not believe the crap the salesman were telling me about this truck. I argued with one gut forever about Cap chairs, CD changer placement, Tow package options and so on. There's no salesman that sold me my truck. I saw it in a magazine 12 months prior, studied it, looked at a few on the lot and ordered the thing. But, it was a love at first site sell.

It was love at first sight! I just would like to know if it has limited-slip and 3.55 gears. My truck has the class III hitch, does the towing suspension come with it? I found out today that 4Lo and the 5.4 can pull poor souls out of snow banks with ease.

The first time I looked at Screws in my small town, I asked the salesman if it had overhead cams. His reply was...... "I dont know what that is"

Level of respect dropped to about zero for both the man and the dealer.

After picking up the brochure on the truck and researching it fully on the net, I bought mine in the "Big City". Got a good deal and a great truck.
