Question License Bracket Removal

Just ordered an XLT SuperCrew in Arizona beige. I see they come with a front license bracket. Can this be removed, and if so, how?

I wish it were just the 2 screws at the bottom. The bottom is attached by two screws, but the top is riveted to the bumper. I tried to drill them out but couldn't. I guess with the heat from the drilling it softened the plastic and I was able to rip it off. I would just suggest you to unscrew the bottom and get a good grip on it and yank it off. That way you wont have a problem with any rust from the drilling.

Your right - what a pain in the a$$. I drilled and punched and then drilled some more. Finally got one side off but got fed up with the second rivet so I just gut the plastic tab. Where I live you are supposed to have a front plate but it looks so much better with out it (there is still a little rebel left in me )

Cut it off and be done with it!

I thought you had to have a front lincense plate in MO, in many other states you need the fornt and back. Its a stupid thing to get pulled over for, but ive been stopped because a cop could not read my rear license at 200 yards at night. the yard might be wrong but thats why he stoped me

I've been doing a little research since I posted the plate bracket question. A service manager told me the brackets are put on at the dealership. If anybody doesn't want a removal problem they need to tell the dealer not to install it when the truck comes in.
