Manik Step Bars
I am considering the Manik Stainless Steel Step Bars for my Black XLT SuperCrew.
Does anyone have experence with this brand?
I am looking for a brand that mounts to the frame and allows for some adjustment away from the body of the truck, and based upon a search of this site, the Manik's might do the trick.
Your thoughts and comments are appreciated.

I have Manik Stainless Steel Nerf Bars on my current Dodge Quadcab. You will not be disappointed. I've had these on my truck since 1998 and love them. They haven't discolored like some SS or peeled like some Chrome bars. I plan on getting a set for my SCrew.

Are these bars somewhat adjustable? Some of the bars that I have seen are too close to the body of the truck (Westin) and my wife will need step help both getting in and out. With the bars sticking further out I believe she has a better shot at catching the bar on the way out.

Goodstone:
I am wanting the same thing - SS step bars that are adjustable somewhat. How much do the Maniks run?

Chuck_TX check out the the thread 'Screw owners here's your excuse....baby!!' Check out the picture of CACeeJay's Screw. Posted 03/06/01. He has some Smittybuilt Nerf bars that stick out a bit further than the Westin's. You might talk to him about how he likes the Smittybuilt's.

LouScrew,
Do you have pictures of your truck with the Westin's? I've got the Ariz Beige and my wife wants the step bars now..... (Too bad for me. I have to buy something new for my toy
) Want to see how they look. Do they get in the way of the front splashguards? How far out/how low do they hang? I like the ones that are "high and close" to the truck. Thx!

I have on my supercrew a set of Ram nerf bars. I like them because they mount ot the frame and extend out from the body so that they are able to be used as a step as well as being GREAT looking. With the frame mount they are as solid as the frame of the truck. The nerf bars are not adjustable but I do not belive you will find ay that really are adjustable. I would have gotten a set of Manik bars but was unable to obtain them in my are without ordering them. I am very satisfied with the RAM bars. Either way you will be making a very good choice.
StrongWind I am sorry I don't have any pictures of my Screw. No digital camera just yet and all my money is going to mods. I think you will like them. They are high and fairly close to the truck. They are a little close for me to get my big foot on without watching what I am doing but my wife has no complaints. I asked her if she wanted me to extend them out a bit farther for her and she said no. I don't think they will interfere with your splash guards. I went to have mine guards put on last Friday but they ordered the ones for the Lariat with the wheel well molding and I drive an XLT..no molding. They didn't mention anything about the bars being in the way. Also I thought I would let you know I got them from Johnson GT on HWY 6 south. About $250 installed. They did a good job and they were carefull to make sure they didn't scratch them in the process.

Sorry for the delayed response, busy at work.
Goodstone,
I'm not sure if the Mannik are adjustable. I know that they mount to the frame and body. So if you were to extend them, they might offset the body mounts. As for being too close to the body, they fit my Dodge perfectly. They stick out with plenty of foot room.
I picked up my SS Manik's from a local custom shop for $375 installed after shopping around online and locally.

StrongWind,
I have the Westin's and they sit up high and somewhat tight, some have complained they are to close to the body, but I don't mind.
I got them from USTrucks Accessories online for $210 delivered, I would not pay to have someone install them as it is a 45 min job max and very easy.
