Post K&N vs AirForceOne FIPK, Which one?

I hate to cross post but this forum get more action

This is also posted in the After Market forum. --> https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/001453.html

I am interested in getting a FIPK for my 5.4L 4x4 SCrew. I just don't know which one yet. I have read some back posts but I am still left unsure.
I am leaning toward K&N because I can save $40 (and maybe put it toward a SuperChip). The F150 online store here does NOT tell you which K&N model you get for $199. Does anyone know which one you get? (My sig is below).

There are 2 models to my knowledge, 57-2514-1 and 57-2514-2, with some sites just listing 57-2514. www.carparts.com has 2 listed (57-2514 for $259 and 57-2514-1 for $209) and there is a on-line coupon (212011) for $40 off.

The AirForce One looks better IMHO and is supposed to come with better mounting hardware. Is this true?

Well talk me into it... will ya?

SCrewBall...I have the #KNN57-2514-2 which is a Generation II and is the most up to date available. I found out that a Gen. III kit (57-2514-3) is not out yet and that it will not change much othe than making it more available for later years and models.

I paid $229.00 through Martel Brothers Racing. Probably could have saved a few bucks by shopping around more, but...

I agree that the AF-1 looks better, but you only see it when the hood is up. If you drinve around alot like this, then that might be the way to go. I don't think you'll go wrong with either. Look for cost.

Good Luck...

Cool

I bought the airaid FIPK from the online shop right here. It has a solid one piece tube like the airforce 1, but is not chrome. Install was easy and looks great. You can feel the increased power with it, but the screw is heavy and the power gain is small. Don't get me wrong, it was well worth the price.
