Question Cruise Control and Horn Not working??? 2002 Screw 5.4l

Sup guys. Just got this truck last week. Trying to fix some things on it.

Well both my cruise control and horn aren't working. Horn chirps when you lock the truck with the key fob. So I know that everything from the relay to the horn works.

Ran the the cruise control test and I dont get any lights to light up. It did just light once before I touched it. Right when I turned the key on cruise would light up. But now it doesn't. Hooked a volt meter up and all the resistances where good. But I prob it from the back of the connector. The connector does look a little corroded and melted. Going to replace it when it stops raining.

Got a cruise servo from a expedition has a different part number but it does say F150/F250 expedition etc. Hooked it up and nothing.

Any ideas?

like you I have the SAME cruise control prob. my horn DOES work though. I have checked it w/ a voltmeter and checked the fuses as well all were ok. I think mine may be the harness but it has been snowing and pretty cold where im at to check it out/replace it and since i dont have access to a garage i aint gonna stand in the wind/cold to replace the harness lol

Sounds like it could be th eclock spring inside the wheel. My 98 did the same thing. replaced the clock spring, and it worked like a champ.

The clock spring wasn't to bad. You have to remove the steering wheel, and air bag though.

Found a blown fuse today. 15 amp mini blue. Now the light up when you hold the off button and turn the key on and all the other switches light up when pressed and while holding the off switch. But the cruise still does not turn on. Does the light suppose to turn on if you idling in park when you hit the on button? Cruise has not worked since I got the truck.

Just wanted to come back and tell everyone what ended up happening. Incase someone runs into the same problem. Found that my cruise control switches were bad also the cruise control module. They wouldn't light up at night. After running the cruise control test all the switches would work but there was no test for the on button. I'm guessing that was the bad switch. Clockspring is good.
