Smile Crazy in England ?

After a lot of soul searching i have just ordered my very 1st Ford, a new S/Crew which is being shipped over from the U.S., should be on the road here within 6 weeks.
----
S/Crew 2001 GenIII 4x4 Lariat - 5.4ltr
Black Monotone / Black Tonneu
Parchment Leather Captains Chairs
6 CD, Wood Trimmed Dash, Slider,Black Cab Steps, Bed Liner, Bed Extender, Towing Pack.
----
Due to the MPG and cost of fuel in the UK ($5.50 per gallon), I am having an LPG (liquid gas) conversion (DGI-Multi Point Injection) fitted with 2 x 15gall tanks fitted under the bed, as LPG in the UK is only $2 per gal.
This duel fuel option will give me approx. 700 mile range, depending on actual MPG.
----
You guys, stop complaining about the price you pay - this baby is going to cost me on the road US$52,200 (+17.5% Tax which I can claim back through my company)
----
Has anyone got any tips/advice for a virgin
f150 supercrew owner ?

Regards
Dave

Congrats! A bit of a beast for those narrow country lanes over there, but certainly a standout looker that will make heads turn! Get rid of the stock sound system. It's particularly bad. I relocated my changer to the space beneath my seat (I CAN be done), then added a JLAudio Stealthbox to the center console, replaced all the speakers with upgrades (Diamond Audio components in front; Kicker impulse Coax in rear, both on installer-created mounting plates), and put a couple of amps behind the plastic trim panel behind the rear seats.
Watch out for Morris Mini's!

Cool

I go over to England on occasion and based on that somewhat limited knowledge I think you will have a blast with your new rig. It will definitely be very distinctive. Very capable as well.

You're right about those taxes over there, they are punitive. Think about it lads, At $5.50 a gallon it would cost over 100$ to fill our tanks. That just sucks. You guys need to have yourselves a tea party!

As far as advice I would say lookout for minis, you might not notice running over one. Read the owners manual. Put a bedliner like linex on it and just take care of it and enjoy. You'll have a very capable vehicle that is going to last a long time and is quite rugged. Put a Union Jack on the front plate too if you can. ;-)

Good Luck!

I have a SCrew in Germany right now. You will defintely get tons of staring eyes! I sure do! Some folks even come up and ask to look at it..of course I oblige! :-)
The roads here are quite narrow as well, but my truck does ok. I just don't take it into some of the smaller villages where I know I'll have a problem. Enjoy your truck! I sure enjoy mine!
