Has any one changed headlamps to the new euro clear headlamps that come on the 2001 lightning. If so was there a requirement of having a lightning vin number to order them from the dealer?

 

why don't you just buy the other aftermarket headlamps? I have the Crystal eye projection lights on mine and they are legal! They have no "for show and offroad use only" marks on them any where, the corner lenses are but not the actual head light. I even asked the cop that lived down the street and he said they are perfectly legal, that is here in AZ though.

 

The dealer doesnt care if you have a VIN or not, they just wanna sell parts.. I just got the 2001 lightning tail lights for $42.00 a side, way cheaper than any aftermarket stuff out there, plus its a ford part. The Lightning headlights were around $350 I think
