Post will dealer trade tires?

screw coming in a few weeks (hopefully), and I'm wondering if the dealer would take care of switching tires (I want to put michelin ltx m/s on the truck) or if I need to coordinate that after i get the truck... is this something the dealer should be up for?

thanks,
Wes

My dealer said they would swap tires with another truck on the lot. But, I wanted LT type on GY AT/S which they didn't have. I bought new tires and listed my 17" P265/70/17 tires here in the classifieds and got about 10 inquiries from all over the US-sold them here in Dallas. Give it a try.

Cool

I went directly from picking up my truck to the tire shop, where I had made arrangements for 5 Mich LTX M/S tires to be put on. Since they had less than 8 miles on, he gave me "new" price for trade in, and then surprised me...he had found 5 Michelins in the size I wanted (bigger than than stock) that were blems...and the blemish was that the white lettering had not been applied (blackwall both sides). Since I went for that, the whole deal cost me $11, mount, balance, lifetime road hazard, and free rotate every 5K.

Cool

Dewayne,

If I may be so bold to ask...how much did you get for them. I pick up my new Screw this Saturday and I've got the same stock tire/wheel combo that will be coming off immediately and go up for sale. Just trying to get an idea of what they are worth. Thanks.

I can buy them new for $115 (a really low price). Sold them for $85 because I didn't want to sit on them. You should have no problem getting $100 each as new take off's. Guys needing the 17" size know what they are worth since GY wants about $150+. For my GY LT265/70/17 AT/S I paid $135 out the door at Discount Tire Store.
