Post Heavy Duty Shocks?

Does anyone know if the heavy duty shocks that come with the SuperCrew off road package are the same as the heavy duty shocks that come with the towing package?

I've noticed that none of the trucks I've seen on dealer lots have both packages, not a single one, and I'm guessing that maybe this is because the parts would be duplicative? (If the shocks on the two packages are the same, you could duplicate this setup for less money by ordering the tow package and then buying the skid plates and a set of tires & wheels.)

Thanks all!

I have both the Off Road Package and the Towing Package on my SuperCrew. I ordered it that way and had to pay for both packages, no credit for the shocks. My 98 SuperCab (for sale now) is the same way; both packages and I didn't get a credit then either.

I ordered both packages for my screw and this is why. The towing package only has heavy duty rear shocks. If you want the heavy duty front shocks you need to get the offroad package. The packages are set up so that they don't overlap. I asked that same question two months ago.

Aha, thanks for the info!

Why don't they say that in the description of the option then? (Heavy duty rear shocks.) Anyone from Ford listening? Seems needlessly confusing. I also wonder why none of the SCrews I've seen have both packages... maybe the dealers are as confused as I was... Odd. Well, at least I know my order's right. :-)
