When my truck shifts from first to second there is a high pitched squeal that comes from the engine. It almost sounds like the belt is slipping, but then again sometimes it almost sounds like it's coming from the rear of the engine. It only does it when you get on it from a stand still. Anybody ever have this problem?

 

I have just noticed the same thing!!! On heavy accel. the shift from 1 to 2 makes a squealing noice. I think it is coming from the tranny.
