Post What should I do?

I got my truck in August and had the two front windows tinted about 4 days after I got it. After the tint went on, we noticed that the passenger side glass had a huge scratch in it from the factory. My dealer reluctantly replaced it and I finally got the customer service dept to pay to replace the tint. The guy that I really trusted couldn't get to the truck for about a month because he was so booked, so I decided to let the aftermarket guys at the dealer re-do it. The first time they did it they left about a 3/8" gap at the top of the window. I know I was just being picky, but they re-tinted it, and the second time they cut the gap down to about 1/4". It normally wouldn't be a problem, but it bothers me, because all the other windows have gaps that are no bigger than 3MM. I mean the rear windows are factory tinted, and the tint comes to the edge of the window and looks good, and the front window looks just as good as the rear. But the passenger side is really buggin me. Am I just being too picky, or should I just let it go?

I would have your trusted guy do it right. You might not ever get it right with the dealer's guys. Eat the cost, it'll bug you forever if it's wrong.

I too want to tint the front windows, but I've been waiting to make sure there aren't any trim, motor, or window problems first. I also have other mods taking priority now, plus finding the time to get it all done that I want.

What percentage of tint did you go with? 50 percent is legal in Va. I want the fronts tinted the same percentage as the rears and back to make it look even.

If it weren't for trucks, we wouldn't have tailgates.

Legal here in Texas is 35% in the front, and you can spray paint the rear windows if you wanted to with out a problem, but only if it is a truck, passenger cars are supposed to be legal all-around. My old truck has 25% on the sides and 20% on the rear.
Thanks for the advice, I had pretty much decided that I was going to have to do it that way, but I just wanted other opinions!
