Fender Flare Part#
Today I found myself needing a replacement right front factory fender flare ptd silver after some inconsiderate coworker decided to use my truck as a personal door stop while they were parking their work vehicle in our lot.
I know someone here has looked into buying these parts after the fact recently, and if possible would they kindly list the part number and price paid for me so I can put one on order without too much fuss.
I did a search tonight and came up negative so far............
Thanks,
TL

I just took my truck up to the local mountains, and had to use chains. The spring tensioners came loose, and the chains chewed up the lower tips of my rear fender flares. Here's the part number for the rear fender flare #yl3z-8429164-aaj (mldg asy-bdy s). My flares are white, and are for the rear. If you take this # in, you should be on the same page of your dealers computer. He should then be able to see what your part # is. My list price was $119.72, the parts guy "gave" them to me for $98.52 ea. OUCH! You should'nt have any problem at your dealer, as far as ordering them. Good luck
Any mention of who the supplier is on the rear fender flares? (Who makes them for Ford?) My wife tried to see exactly how close she could get the truck to the garage door frame - she overshot the mark by about 1/4". Luckily no sheet metal damage, but she pretty much destroyed the LH rear fender flare.
I'm in a position to be able to (generally) get parts from suppliers for "adhesion testing", and at $120 a pop, that's what I'd prefer to do. Only I haven't been able to find out who the supplier is.
Anyone know? Could it be Mako(sp?) Plastics? I'd appreciate any assistance.
