Hello 98XLT,
If you can not decide, don't sweat it. Buy the solid color and paint it later. "It's cheap and easy."
I purchased the solid White Lariat with Grey Leather. Now I can Two-tone it different than any other. I may go with a dark blue metallic.
Just an idea.

One thing we all agree on. We dig our Screws.

 

Try the Arizona Beige/Wedgewood Blue. It's sharp. My dad has a '99 Supercab that is wedgewood/harvest gold, and he tries almost everyday to get me to agree to some sort of barter so he can have my truck-- hell he even offered me the house! (I think he was joking(it still hasn't happened))
Just figured I had to speak for the few of us that own these two-tone beauties!
However, I can't say that I have ever seen an "ugly" Screw!

 

Okay, 3 more colors that I would like to see and I will stop bothering everyone!!

I too would like to see Arizona Beige with DeepWedgewood blue accents. I am thinking of adding the fender flares to my 4x2 xlt.

I still havent seen the Beige/Blue combo. Anyone with a 4WD drive with this color I would love to see it.

Don't have a picture of mine, but if you get the 2001 Ford truck brochure at your local dealer, you will see the Toredor Red over Silver. It is SWEET!

I did not think about two tone until I saw this one at a local dealer. I have to tell you it is striking. I cannot tell you how many people have told me what a great looking truck I have. I never got that with my SUV or other trucks.

Most of the two tones look great, but for pure curb appeal, the red over silver is awesome.

No matter what you choose, you'll be really happy to be driving an SCrew!

I'll try to get the digital camera tomorrow and take some pictures. Just got mine on Thursday in time for Christmas and love it. Very happy with the Beige/Blue Tu-Tone.

Hi Wickman,

Question for you. I have a 2001 SCrew with an A.R.E. cap like yours. Did you get the 12 volt light option? If so, does your light work without turing the ignition key on? The dealer where I bought my cap said that is the only way Ford's can be wired unless it is wired directly to the battery, which he did not recommend. Does anybody know if there is another way to re-wire my cap's light so that I don't have to turn the ignition key on first? Thanks!

Yes, I have the 12 volt light option and it only works when the key is on. ARE's website says something about a battery operated light, I'm not sure if that is an option for you. I think a hardwire to the battery would be the only other choice and I would not recommend that either.

You could also just get one of those TapLight gizmos and stick it to the roof of the cap.

 

Although my shell is a Snugtop, it's light is always hot. No need to turn the key. If I remember right it was wired some where in the rear of the truck. No long wire runs to the battery. Just have to make sure I don't leave it on.
