SCrew on propane
I am in the process of buying a Ford f150 lariat 1999. Only has 12000 miles on it. The fact of the matter is that overhere in Europe the price for gas is just skyhigh. Everyone runs it on propane. I am switching from Dodge to Ford. Parts are impossible to get here for Dodge, Ford should be easier.
Are there any problems with the F150 on propnae or 1999 models that should be taken into account when purchasing this truck?
It looks great, feels better than the Dodge. But hey,... dunno **** from shinola about trucks here in Europe.
Thanks...

I run my Screw on propane about 65% of the time. I can also use gas. It runs fine on propane, but there are a lot of mountains in Arizona and I really have to mash the pedal to get it to go uphill on propane, so when I'm driving in hilly areas, I run gas so I can go fast uphill and pass people on uphill passing lanes. Also, when you really mash the pedal on propane, it uses a lot more of it. I haven't been able to check the mileage yet because I switch back and forth between the two. Haven't tried towing yet on either fuel.
Maybe this will help.
