Supercrew and Ford Duraliner
Anyone have a duraliner in their crew? I noticed some on the lot and above the wheels, the liner doesn't go under the rails. It is screwed in to the bed. Will this cause problems??
DR7, I installed the Ford/ Duraliner a few days after I picked up my Super Crew.It appeared to fit (just barely) under the rails. Since then, it has pulled away from the rails above the wheels. Photos are attached. I'm a little reluctant to drill holes and screw it into the bed. I suppose stainless steel screws with a little silicone would close the gap (see picture). Wonder if there is another "fix".How did the dealership attach the liner sides?

They had screws in the side to hold it against the bed. I am not thrilled about this, but why wouldnt it fit under the rail? Seems goofy to me that a ford bedliner wouldnt fit perfectly.
What kind of bug deflector do you have and can you post a pic of your console? I am looking for one and think it may be tough to find one with a gray leather armrest.

Dr7, Pic's of the center console are on the super crew thread "expedition console?". https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/000375.html
LWM sells consoles in grey or tan for approx $90.00 plus shipping. Phone 405-360-7998.Bug deflector came from a local Memphis store - - don't recall the brand.

I noticed that your arm rest is not leather, does it look ok? The Consoles in the Lariat crews are leather topped right? I can get a vinyl topped one no prob, but the leather ones are hard to come by.
Just an FYI
I took a few self screwing rivets to solve this problem. I drilled the liner and the bed caps in abour four places on each side then screw riveted (I think that is what these are called) together. I put a little tape on the backside to, hopefully, prevent scrathcing the bed. About 1,000 miles and holding up fine!
Neither the armrests or the consels in the Lariate are leather! The armrest and majority of the seat are actually cheap, stiff vinyl! It burns me up these seats are so poor!

Digodell, thanks for the info on the liner.
DR7, The armrests in the picture are the original "Lariat" pieces (attached to the captain's chairs). They are covered in vinyl ... NOT leather. The original Super Crew, Lariat center console appears to be covered in vinyl as well (I didn't tear it apart to be absolutely sure).
Most cars today with "leather" interiors, including my wife's 2000 Infiniti, have quite a bit of vinyl surfacing and trim. The captain's chair seating surface (bottom and back) is about the only leather used in the Lariat.

I too have 2001 Supercrew with a Ford/Duraliner bed liner. I am on the second one. I bought the first one the end of May when I got the truck. The liner just went up far enough to meet the bed rail cap. With in four weeks it was pulling away from the sides of the bed. I returned to my dealer and he replaced it with a new liner. The second one fits up under the bed rail cap just fine. Now the liner looks GREAT. There is no way I was going to accept an inferior quality product that did not fit correctly. I also had no intentions of DRILLING in a NEW truck. From what my dealer told me some of the early bedliners were made wrong. "TOO SHORT" on the sides. You need to take the short ones back.

I also had problems with my first bedliner, the very day I took the truck. I waited to see if the sun or additional heat would get the liner to work back where it should have been, but that didn't happen. I called the dealer adn they told me to go straight to the supplier. The supplier told me to bring it in for a free replacement. The new one is taller in the middle and fits right underneath the rails. We'll see if it stays in place now, if not it'll go back again. It's guaranteed for life!!
my super crew also has the ford/duraliner bedliner in it. it is a new liner and fits under the rails (tight fit). seems to be holding up under the summer florida sun. so far so good.
I drove 40 miles to a Ford dealer to pick up a Duraliner today only to find it fit about one quarter of an inch below the bed rails directly over the wheels!
How can you tell if these liners are one of the new ones that will fit correctly without installing them first? Anyone talk with Duraliner regarding this problem?
