Quick question - looking for some guidance and expertise. Decided this weekend that I would like to add the Expedition console and remove existing one. Are these available aftermarket or am I stuck paying a premium at my Ford dealer? Does the Expedition console come with rear audio controls? If so, can these be wired into existing audio system? What about rear heat - A/C? Can this also be modified? Thanks for helping me out on this one! Brad.

Thanks for the lead. I read your thread last week, decided over the weekend and ordered one from Ken this morning. Waiting patiently for it to arrive.
I also have a friend who has several years experience with audio/visual mods at a local high end radio shop. When the console arrives I will have him take a look at the radio controls and see if he thinks they are compatable with the Screws 2001 factory stereo or what can be done to make it.

Also recommend a search in the SuperCrew forum for "center console". This has been a hot topic for several months. The consoles are available from non-ford vendors for approx $100-$150. Some of the expy consoles come with rear audio controls - - most do not. Don't know about the wiring/ plumbing issues, but again, most of this has been covered thoroughly in the SuperCrew forum over the past six months. You'll find lot's of detail on file. Paid $115.00 thanks to your post. Ken said he usually charges $150.00 shipped but would honor the price you quoted. What kind of condition is yours in? Mine arrived today with a scrape on the rear vents and corner (not a big deal) but the lid/armrest has a slight scuff and small (minute) tear. The tear is what I'm concerned with as this may enlarge with time and use.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to do this addon as well, but I'd like to know if those of you who have the rear controls (radio/heat/ac) in your new console...Have you gotten them to work or are they just filling in the hole?

ALSO - I've heard that it is VERY RARE to find a new, 2000+ expy console in Dark Graphite. I personally don't like the narrow armrests of the sCrew and don't mind leaving them up. If ANYONE knows where I might find a dark grphite 2000+ expy console let me know! Thanks in advance.
