Question Anyone with a BedRug...

I am thinking of purchasing one of these for my new 2001 F150 4x4. I will also be putting a Tonneau Cover over the bed. What I am wondering is, do they retain mosture. I am concerned that it will get wet and take a long time to dry out. Any comments from current owner would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

-ftlee

I have had a Bedrug for about 3 months now in my S'Crew and love it. I take it to the car wash and within an hour the rug is dry. It is very durable, too. Have had many compliments on it. Nice fit. Pad is thick, and soft enough with sleeping bag to sleep, but don't throw any bricks or rocks in it. For light industrial use, camping, ATV use, it is great.

I installed a BedRug about 3 months ago in my S-Crew. I really like it. I do have an ARE LS II lid over it. I have vacuumed it out a couple of times and it has gotten wet a few times but always drys out overnight.

My kids play in the bed when we go to "Cruiz Nights"

You might consider a Protecta Rubber bed mat. I've had one in every truck I've owned and love it. Easy to clean, doesn't move around when sliding things in and out of the bed, and stays in place when crusing at highway speeds. It doesn't hold moisture either.

Question

Hey Wedgyblue (or anyone else using a rubber bed mat)!!! Will the rubber bed mat cause any discoloration to the bed floor it is covering after extended use?

Nope. (Or I never noticed.) My last truck (for 10 years) was black but once a year or so I would take the mat out and really scrub down the bed. It would come clean and look nearly like new.

Also, the bottom of mats are dimpled so there is not complete contact with the ribs of the bed. This allows water to drain away and not get caught between the mat and the bed. Leaves, pine needles, etc. still do but the mat comes out so easily you can hose away those nuisances in a minute.

Been looking for a rubber bedrug mat, but haven't seen one for the S-Crew box. The closest is the F-150 shortbed (6.5ft). Anyone know who is making these for the S-Crew???

ProTecta. I got mine from from Summit Racing (~$65), but I had to call in the order since the website didn't mention the SuperCrew.
