Wingnut33,

Can you provide info on the Hooker AeroChamber Muffler? This is the first I have heard or read about it. Did you purchase local in Ohio or order off the net? If you know of a web site that would be heplful.

As soon as I think I have made up my mind....someone like yourself throws a wrench into the mix. THANKS...lol

Years back I used Hooker headers on a couple of my cars and was please with their products.

4x4screw,

Check out the link below... http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLin.../ESM/Aero.html

I bought mine at a local shop called Jegs (www.jegs.com). I went in and compared it to the flowmaster and others (they had mufflers cut open for display). The AeroChamber is a much more sturdy muffler. It's baffles are stronger and the outside is thiker than the fm and the Aerochamber is all welded. It would be very hard to 'blow it out'. You'll see what I mean when you see the inside of the FM.

The AeroChamber is a chambered muffler, so there is no fiberglass inside so it should last longer and hold it's tone longer.

I was torn between the Ravin and the AeroChamber. The AC was $80 vs $120 for the z55. Not to mention that I would have to order the Ravin.

3 of my friends have the AC on their Chevy's and they sound nice. They have been very pleased with the quality and sound over time.

I think it would be worth your while to check it out.

Good luck and let me know what you decide.

Wingnut33,

Thanks for the info.

I see if I can find a dealer in the DFW metro area to go check them out.

I can't remember....do you go dual out the back our side / sides.

Thanks again, I'll let you know what I do.

4x4,

I went dual out the back. It looks pretty nice and sends most of the sound out the back so there isn't much noise inside.

Another added benefit of this new exhaust is that they guys raised it up about 3 inches so that I will have one less thing to worry about when off-road.
