Question Remote Start

Has anyone added a remote start to their SCrew?

I have been doing a little research and found that Code-Alarm is now making an OEM version for Ford. It is in the new F-Series accessories catologue (which is very hard to find, I only saw one at the dealers parts counter).

I would like to have a remote start that does not bypass the PATS system and is OEM in quality, look, and usage. Any other suggestions?

Thanks...

Cool

DEI makes a module that allows the PATS to remain in place but remote start to be added. It will usually cost you ~about~$30 to be added on to the cost of the remote start unit at install. Most good alarm shops that carry DEI alarms/starters (Valet, Viper, Black Widow are some of their brands) will have this available.

Wink

OKCrew, I had one installed on my SCrew when I got the alarm system installed. Been cold here this last week and I must say, "It's a kick to leave work and get into a warm truck."

OnBeLay,
I'm in the northern burb's of the Twin Cities. If your driving to Brainerd and pass through the cities, let me know. I'm currently planning on attending the Neb. State Trapshooting Championships next year.

Question

MN-Trap,
I hate to get even further off the original topic here, but I have a question for you. Have you looked into any of the "Gun Vault" products for storing/transporting guns & eqpt.in the rear of your SC? We shoot Sporting Clays and do a little bird hunting and was wondering about a better way to haul our stuff around other than just putting it all in the bed. Their products are kind of pricey for my budget. Any ideas?

Thanks for the info...

I think I'll do a little more research. I'll share what I find for others who may be interested.

Talking

Parktek,
As a matter of fact I have one in my SCrew. Take a look and the link in my signature. You'll see a picture of a TruckVault installed. I wouldn't have a truck without one.
If you have any other questions about it e-mail me. ron.baker@usa.net
