I don't know why Ford don't put fog lights on the 4x2 models? It looks like the wiring harness on mine have the pigtails there to plug in the lamps. Has anyone tried this before and what is involved.

My '00 4x4 had the pig-tail harness(s) also. All I had to do was purchase the Fog Light/Headlamp switch and run power to the fog terminals on the switch! 30 minutes and I was done (plus 20 to moung the valence/lights). Doc

I am trying to hook up lights for a "Lightning" bumper cover and I found a couple of wiring harnesses, which one is the fog light harness?

When you bought your switch did it come with the indicator plate or did you buy that separtely?

The switch was about $50 from Ford (this replaces the original -no fog- switch), the "indicator" for the fog lights is built in. To install, all I did was run 12V/switched source to the terminal on the switch and a wire to the factory relay. My truck had all of the wiring past the firewall (relay, harness, etc.) but did not have the wiring in the dash harness. I can go into more detail if necessary. Some trucks come ready for the switch and you're ready to rock and some like my old '99 had nada! My '00 fell somewhere in the middle. Easy install, just be patient! Hope this helps, Doc
