Smile Tie Downs

Hey 2001,

I like the idea, but I have trouble believing that it hasnt bent yet. I can bend that piece of the bed sheet metal with my hands. Did you do anything to strengthen it?? Other braces, mounting plates, etc.??

Nice bike, long live super standards, I have and SV-650 myself and love it.

wavecrest....I will try and take some closer pic of the support/backing plates that came with the bracket. I have tied down two sport bikes to this "tie down", one dirt bike and a 140lb Rottwieler and you can see for yourself that it has not bent or moved. I am not quite sure what you mean about being able to bend the metal in the location I have this bracket placed with your hands, but maybe you are not quite 100% sure of where the pics are showing the location because there is NO WAY a person would be able to flex this location with their hands.

I will post some hopefully better pics here tomorrow....how is that?
