Question ? which color for easiest maintenance

I'm looking to get into a Supercrew Lariat in the near future, and was just looking for some opinions as to which color scheme would be the easiest to take care of? Thanks in advance.

Your color choice is limited on the Latiat. I prefer the solid colors, white, red, etc as they are easier to touch up. With metallic paint you can never get an exact color match without blending into another panel and touched up stone chips always stand out. Every color looks great when clean! http://albums.photopoint.com/j/Album...8730&a=8921587

Here's my 2 cents worth !

After having a dark vehicle that showed every little nick and scratch I went to a white/silver SCrew and love it even when it is dirty it still looks good. The Arizona beige is also a low maintenance color also.

Arizona beige is probally gonna show the least dirt. Although I think white is an easy color to care for and in my opinion, the white looks better. But everyone is a little different!

Yea, I know.. wish someone would tell my wife that though! I keep tellin her its embarrasing to have people see her dirty car!
At least all my trucks are clean. I figure as longs as Im sprayin water while i check things out I may as well spray it on a truck.. Im just fortunate enough to have another "work" truck so the Screw doesnt have to go out on messy days.

I went with Silver for the first time. I have only had it a week but it looks good even when dirty. My last truck was a 98 supercab toreador red with tan. It was a real sharp rich looking color and I had lots of compliments but since I am on the road with it every day for work it looks dirty most of the time.

Wink

White is a FLEET color...every city truck and company truck on the roads today are done in white.

My last truck was white and did not stand out at all...looked like every other white company and city fleet truck out there, clean yes but one of a kind no.

This time I went to the wedgewood blue and silver for my colors (love these colors)and now I have a truck that isn't on every corner and front drive way...I will put the extra effort into the up keep than have a color like every fleet truck out there.

White BEEN THERE!
Wedgewood/Silver LOVE IT!

White is the easiest, as you get darker and darker from there, the dirt shows up more, also swirls, spider webs etc, until you get to black which is the worst when dirty, but great when clean!!

Right on "2001" with your response. I too went with Deep Wedgewood Metallic Blue and Arizona Metallic Beige trim for all the reasons you mentioned. Easy maintenance was not a consideration! I went with what I believe was a beautiful color combination. Believe this truck turns heads and elicits great comments! A little extra maintenance was no big thing to me.

"Jeff K" I say go for the color that appeals to you and don't worry about it. There are thousands of white or silver vehicles out there. If that appeals to you then join the crowd.

Cool

Did I say something wrong, I didn't mean to offend anyone driving a white truck, but I just figured that spending as much as "we" did on these Supercrew's...why would I want to choose the same color as 70% of the population in North America which is white.

I LOVE to wash, wax, detail and look at my 2001 wedgewood Blue/Silver SuperCrew 4x4...this is why I purchased it, not because it was easy to keep clean. If keeping a vehicle clean was a priority, I would of bought myself a Ford Focus.

If your purchasing a Supercrew for the reason of easy maintenance...for get it!

You purchase a Supercrew because it is different!

Yo 2001: I agree with you 100%. I bought the Dark Highland Green and to me that looks sharp...This is the color I wanted and this is the color I got..Get what YOU want..Keeping it clean is not killing me,besides, when I drive it downtown, heads turn and I know why.. I got one hell of a sharp looking truck.....
