Trade-in
Can everybody give me an Idea what they paid for their new supercrews and thier trade-in value of their other trucks, I feel as though i'm not getting a good deal and I've been fighting with Ford over my cracking paint. Dealer says he's giving me a good deal but I don't see it. 33,500 for new Crew, 22,500 for my 30,000 mi trade, 11,000 seems a bit much. Any Input would be helfull.
Thanks, Gino

Ginos,
I cannot give you an opinion on the value of your trade, but I can give you an opinion on the SCrew price. Unless it is loaded with every conceivable option, 33,500 is too much.
I bought an SCrew a month ago, MSRP $33,100, I paid $28,800 for it. Get the equipment it has and go to Edmunds.com and get the MSRP verus invoice cost, then go from there. I have to think you should be looking approximately $4000 off MSRP or somewhere around invoice cost, no more than $200 above dealer cost.
Regarding the value of your truck, I would go to Kellybluebook.com and Edmunds and price the value of your truck. Take the average of the two values and use that as your trade in value.
Take the invoice cost of the SCrew, subtract the trade in value you get from these sites, and offer that. Be sure to let the dealer see the printouts you have.
Knowledge is power when you are negotiating with your dealer.
Good luck!
