Mine will be in in about 3 weeks, painted to match by ARE. The best price installed I could find near me was $800. I did see one on a SuperDuty at the dealer I'm buying it through and it looked nice.

I had my ARE LS II installed in April. Factory painted Black. Still looks great. I paid $685.00 installed. On my last truck I had a Leer and I think the ARE is a higher quality product.

Good Luck,
Tim

Thumbs up

When the dealer installed my LSII it went on so good he could not believe it. Mine was the first Screw they installed a lid on. The paint was done at the factory. (It was a perfect match) Total cost installed, tax and a $20 coupon came to: $646.74.

F150aGoGo,

Ordered my A.R.E. on the 11th of October and it's due in the end of this week. Cost was $665.00 plus tax installed, in S.E. Penna. The costs from the factory supposedly went up 15% on 10-01-00 so you'll notice alot of price discrepancies right now.

F150aGoGo,
I ordered my ARE LSII the same day I ordered my SCrew (March 2000). ARE painted it at the factory and its a perfect match. ARE has since came out with a remote lock that works off the Ford keyfob. I got mine on order. It will be nice to be able to unlock the cover remotely.

JERSEY FRESH,
I found out about it on the ARE web site: http://www.4are.com/ Look at "New Products". I ordered mine on a Sports Show special last March, it included carpeting and painting for around $600.

Jersey Fresh,

At that price I'd venture to guess you got the cover at South Jersey Enterprises on 47. Am I right??

Was gonna order from them but got a slightly better deal from Cottman Corp in WillowGrove and both are about equal distance from my house. Did you at least get it within the 3 week turnaround? My cousin's cover took about 6 weeks going through them with his order.

As for the electric lock option, it retails for $150 installed, but my dealer has yet to see/do one yet so I don't want to be his guinea pig. I'll wait till he does a couple of other trucks first. He didn't seem to keen on them yet, either.

Somebody back east; send me one!
Drove up to Tucson last Fri. and looked at them. Looked great, but the price was $850 installed, painted to match, w/ a 3 week wait for the order from the factory. Thought I might get a better price from the Phoenix area, phoned up there and got a "best" price quote of $795 w/3wk. order time.
Why's there so much of a difference in price between east and west coast? It can't all be in shipping costs? Any thoughts?

Cool

These are just great looking lids. I really like the lift assist system on them too. I got mine from Buff Truck Accessories in Festus, MO just south of St. Louis. What a great product. I paid $650.00 even. Take a look below! Paint matching is VERY good!

TLISTER,
YOUR ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. S.J. TRUCK
ON 47. I CALLED A DEALER RIGHT OFF BLUE ROUTE
EXIT 3 I BELIEVE, AND IT WAS A LITTLE CHEAPER
BUT FOR THE CONVIENENCE OF JUST DOWN THE ROAD
I WENT THERE. I GOT IT IN THREE WEEKS. LOOKS SO DAMN GOOD, IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT. I GUESS
THE PRICE DIFFERENCE MUST BE THE SHIPPING COST OUT WEST. ANYWAY, REAL HAPPY WITH THE LID. BY THE WAY, I BOUGHT THE TRUCK AND THE
LID BECAUSE OF ALL THE GREAT SUGGESTIONS AND
REVIEWS ON THIS FORUM, SO KEEP UP THE GOOD
WORK EVERYONE. THANKS
