King Ranch "stole" the chestnut color! That must be why the folks at Ford took that color away from the XLT and Lariat.

------------------
Ordered: 2001 SuperCrew, Lariat, DWBlue/Beige, Tow Package, 5.4 Triton V-8, Ltd-slip Diff., Sliding rear window, 6 Cd, and Moonroof.

LeeMan, I'm sure your right on the reason for pulling the Chestnut Brown and making it available on the Kings Ranch Edition.
I went after work, to my Ferd dealer to change my order to the KRE. They have nothing in the computer about it. They were going to call Detroit today, is that weird or what?
I had to give him the printout from www.carpoint.com for the Mfgrs Code, but they needed a "pep#" I couldn't provide that.

FINALLY, did I say FINALLY got ahold of my salesman, via his Cell Phone, kinda hard to disregard that when it's on your belt.

He called Detroit, the KRE is Not available for order until Monday, 10-09-00.
You know where I'll be Monday Morning.

Still looking for a good shot of the Charcoal Blue color.
Now I don't want Chestnut, because this is going to be a limited production and that color was available ON THOSE OTHER SCrew's
Na, Na, Na,

Have you viewed the webcast yet? Lots of info there about the King Ranch SCrew. Something I recall seeing in the webcast is that the King Ranch edition will only be available in Texas. Check me on that, but that's what I heard.

View the webcast through this link. If that doesn't work, go to the Ford website and click on Ford News, then the 2001 Trucks Live link.

Has anyone ordered a Kings Ranch Edition yet?

I went to my Ferd Dealer on Monday, 10-09 the first day of availibity on this edition.
We got through all the options, colors, etc.
But when the salesman hit the send button, it rejected the order. And of course Ferd was closed. Plus I find out that this KRE cannot be bought at $100.00 over cost.
They want sticker + At this time, I guess I'll take the Lariat that has been on order.

I also heard thast the King Ranch can only be bought in texas and in Oklahoma. THe reason for this is because the Actual KING RANCH "not the truck"is the largest ranch in texas and they got together with FORD.
