Question Power Sliding Rear Window

Anyone have any info & or cost on a power slider?? I have seen one installed and the dealer cost is about 400 dollars. Seems high for one sliding panel. I'd like to find the one like offered aftermarket on GM's,the complete glass slides down into a encasement behind the rear seat. If I order a factory slider, can I expect a trade in credit toward the power slider.

Don't know but I expect it to be a standard feature when I buy my next Super Crew in 2003.

I've seen the power sliding rear on the Sport Trac. It is wide and slides down into the cab. I'd definitely have one of those. To me, the rear slider is an absolute waste of money. Seems that the dealers order them all that way.

Question

i have not been able to utilize my manual sliding rear window in the supercrew as i used to in my standard pickup. my buddies have extended cabs and they say the same thing .. very little use of the slider. i would trade the sliding rear window for some rear head restraints.. ,without going to captains chairs in the rear.
