Question Interior Carpet?

Saw my truck for the first time on Monday while in Miami. The carpet and floor mats have a matted look, Almost like they were damaged from water. Has anyone else noticed this?..Is this a new type of carpet?...Need to know before I ship the truck out of the country.

My floormats were falling apart at the edges when I recieved them, so I replaced them with Husky Liners and couldn't be happier.

I have an XLT on order. What is on the floor in the cab in the XLT? I have a brochure that said something about vinyl but did not list anything else as an option.

JahMax,

The carpet and floor mats are pretty much crap. I had noticed the exact matted look you described on the floor mats when I picked up my truck. I fluffed it up and it looked fine for about an hour but it eventually went back to matted again. I gave up and now just live with it.

I even thought (briefly) about shampooing the carpet and mats with hair gel just to stiffen em up a bit but ... :0D

Screwball,

I know this is off topic, but could you do me a favor and measure the distance from the top of your front tire to the bottom of the fender flare and then measure the back.

My gap is 8.5 inches in the front and 9.5 inches in the back. Yours doesn't look as noticeable.

Let me know.

Thanks,

I agree on the carpet. The supercrew carpet looks like replacement carpet you could get at a cheap upholstery shop. It is thick and doesnt look at all groomed or trimmed.
