Not to beat a overused subject to death but wanted to get some further ideas about how the process works and when I can expect certain things to happen with my SuperCrew order...

1. 9/15/00 - Placed order
2. 9/22/00 - Called dealer to check status, order accepted but no further information...
3. 9/25/00 - Called dealer to change engine type and color combination. Also was informed that a VIN had been issued.
4. 9/27/00 - Was told by dealer that Ford would not upgrade engine (from 4.6L to 5.4L) but did accept color changes.

What are the steps/processes that follow and what should I expect next? So far, judging by other posts here things seem to be moving along pretty well with my order...
