ARE LSII Lid and Spray-on?
Now that I have a build date of Oct 2nd, I was wondering what any or everybody thought was the best spray on bed liner?
I already decided to go witht he lid and in white, Stan's Auto Foundry in Keene, NH $645.00 minus $20.00 coupon....$625.00 no tax.
I would like to know what people think is the best or better between Rhino and Line-X.
I have no idea how much a Rhino would be but, Line X of N.H. in Bow, N.H. wants $395.00.
What do you suggest? What are the good points and bad points?
Go time is getting near.
Thanks for the input.

Line-X is a great product, I had mine sprayed and got a life time warranty for $335. It's thick and durable, I've used it a lot and it hasn't even showed any markes yet. I've heard bad things about Rhino, but I can;t recall what. I think it was something about it being to rubbery. Line-X holds everything in place well.

That sounds like a good price on the ARE Cap (lid), where are they located in Keene? They sent me a price online of $709. plus shipping.
Thanks

I have both the ARE LSII and the Linex Liner. Love them both. If you want a thick, rubbery "cottage cheese" look for your liner, go Rhino. If you want a thinner, harder, finer texture, go Linex. Mine cost around $350 for the Supercab shortbed.

Vesjas,
Great price on the ARE LSII lid. I got a quote for $705+tax (same lid) painted Black and installed at Cap City Danbury CT. ($250 more if I wanted the wing...) I am going to have to wait a bit...
I am still searching for a spay-in liner. Line-X Rhode Island wants $400 and a local spray-in offered me a CT Durham Fair special for $300... (I also found a $25 coupon which can be used as well). They spray "Full Metal Jacket" (trademark). FMJ is a high temperature and pressure application of 100% pure polyurea elastomer. I still need to research this a bit but the sample product looked good and they remove all bolts and tie downs et al and a life time guarantee.
The samples reminded me a very very hard tire like substance. Some peices were almost the texture of a car dashboard (Naugahide (sp?) like). Others had agregate and were more sandpaper 50 or 60 grit.
I am looking for a hard surface, orange peel smooth texture which they said could be easily done and was a matter of how the product was spayed.
If you are interested, thier name is Stead-Fast Custom Linings of East Haven, CT. About an hour drive south for you.

Thanks for the input. I think I will definitely go with both.
However, I'm gonna call Line X of New Hampshire and see if I can get a better price. $395.00 sounds steep now. I'd rather spend $45.00 in gas and pay someone $350.00 than to get ripped for the 45 to 60 beans.
Thanks everyone

I had a Line-X installed for $350. No complaints so far. Seems to be very durable.
I also bought an ARE LSII for $659, after $20 coupon. Mine was also Oxford White. The dealer had five different Oxford White sample to chose from, which make me feel a little unsure about the match. I could hardly tell any difference and finally decided on "alternate #2", as it was called. After the lid was installed I immediately noticed the color did not quite match to my satisfaction. It appeared to match the sample OK but just didn't seem "white enough" as it sat on the truck. So, we decided to send it back to ARE, along with my gas cap door, so they could repaint it to the exact color. I was told they can scan the piece I sent and get an exact color formula. Hope it works. I am waiting for it to come back now, so the jury is still out.

Irobot,
Good point on the colors. I spoke to the ARE dealer and he said the same thing about the alternates. He suggested I wait for the truck to arrive, then match the color with the paint chart rather than ordering in advance. I wanted to have it all ready as soon as I get the truck but I guess I will have to wait.
Please post the results of your new color.
