I have had my '01 SCrewfor two and a half weeks now (paint code E4 Bright Red) and when washing the truck today I noticed the paint on the LF fender flare was bubbling and starting to flake off. Upon talking to the body shop manager at the dealer, his attitude was that this happens all the time and was no big deal. He ordered a new flare for that corner, telling me it comes painted from the factory, and will take 5 minutes to replace once it comes in (probably next Wednsday-4 business days) I went out and pulled the offending piece off and sapped it back on in less that 2 minutes, so that won't be bad, but I'm wondering if this has happened to anybody else and how much I'll need to worry about this after the warranty is up...
from looking at it, it looks as if the plastic wasn't properly prepped for paint before the red went on, so I'm figuring I have about a 50/50 chance of making this trip again.
