I have the captains chairs in my Supercrew and both seats now have a spring poking or actually comming through the bottom cushions.My driver seat is the worst.It actually scrapped a 6 inch line on the back of my thigh and tore a hole in the seat fabric.I think the worse part is Ford says it will take a month to get the parts!Anybody else having problems like this?My weight is 225lbs. and have no problems getting in the truck, but I've resorted to buying some side step bars so the seat will hopefully stay together better.What a drag, pay $30k for a truck and get grandma's old mattress springs..I though they only used them for the Model T's?

 

Mine is sitting on the lot right now, when I pick it up I will definately give it the ole *** bounce to see!!!

Just got back from the dealer and this is what happened:Apparently they were confused as to what parts were for who or something(typical), but anyways my seat cushion and cover has arrived.I inspected the new cushion with the Service Manager and saw the problem.There is a support spring molded into the foam itself.It runs from one side to the other and is not connected to anything but the foam.Both the Service Manager and myself thought this design is poor.I'm sure that after another 6,000 miles the problem will just re-occur.So off to the upholstery shop we go for options and suggestions.
